Introduction In Numina by author Assaph Mehr is a thrilling, magical mystery set in a time and place very similar to Ancient Rome. It is the second book in the "Stories of Togas, Daggers, and Magic" series, but a reader does not have to read the books chronologically in order for the novel to make sense. Introduction Mid-October is, arguably, the most stressful time of year for a college student, and I am certainly not the exception of that idea. Introduction Crooked Gold by author Carl Knauf is a fast-paced adventure novel with heavy Hispanic influences and history. As a traditional treasure hunt story with a modern criminalistic twist, I was intrigued by the summary when Mr. Knauf asked for an honest review in exchange for a free .mobi file. Although I ultimately enjoyed the novel, there were too many issues that distracted me from the plot and ended up affecting my overall rating. Introduction Author Robert Tomoguchi sent me a .mobi file of The Scribbled Victims in exchange for an honest review, and because it's the first of its kind that I've reviewed on Bitty Book Nook, I'm excited to say that I enjoyed it! The novel was a twisted tale of empathy, comedy, and self-discovery, and I was extremely pleased with it, particularly because I think it's hard to nail vampire novels. Introduction The Liars' Asylum (also known as  The Liars' Asylum: Stories ) was sent to me by author Jacob M. Appel in exchange for an honest review. It is a collection of eccentric short stories that focus on different plots and characters. Additionally, it would seem that the stories aren't even set in the same time period, which struck me as interesting and most enjoyable! I believe that the book offered a variety of written worlds to dive into--much like an ice cream shop, there's something in it for everyone.
